It began as the Sound of Music store in St. Paul, Minnesota, and it was renamed Best Buy in 1981. The company continued to experience exponential growth over the years. Best Buy retails appliances, home office supplies, entertainment equipment, electronic devices, and associated services. It deals with technological products, such as PCs and tablets, cell phones, televisions, big and small appliances, entertainment gear, digital cameras, and associated accessories. The company witnessed a scandal in 2012 when the CEO, Brian Dunn, resigned during an internal investigation about his inappropriate affair with a female subordinate employee in the organization.
